Possible applications: ablation procedures

Percutaneous ablation offers an effective and valuable technique allowing relatively quick completion with minimal impact on the body. The associated costs and patient recovery are minimized. The ablation instruments applicable include RF, microwave, and Argon-Helium based devices.

The Pari-Path navigation system provides image analysis tools to obtain the anatomical target’s three-dimensional shape, size, spatial location, and the surrounding anatomical organization (such as blood vessels) based on patient’s imaging (CT/MR, US). The Pari-Path system allows surgical planning on screen with comprehensive surgical needle positioning in respect to path, angle, direction and insertion depth to cover the entire target region.

During procedure, the Pari-Path navigation system can track the surgical instruments/needles’ movement in real time within the 3D model of patient (including the preplanned needle route), which allows to precise targeting to minimize injury to the surrounding organs.
